Due to the media attention, however, from Prowaste appearing on Dragons Den and getting investment, this made the sales process easier to get them in front of the procurement teams, who made the decision on who they used. G Frame Structures were created in January 2011 as part of the Murform Group. G Frame had a unique connection plate that enabled Glulam timber frames to go multi-storey. The initial target market was Architects as it was anticipated that these would be able to specify the system at the early stages of the project. Whilst a number of meetings were arranged in the first 6 months, Crannull advised G-Frame to consider switching to Developers and Main Contractors as it could reduce the time from initial meeting to getting a project secured on site. Our target was to find construction contractors and developers with a need for an external render system and to make contact with the key decision maker to see if they have a project on the table to discuss, and finally to arrange a meeting for the Director to attend on set days per month. The two most popular render systems are Sto and Webber, which are often specified by the Architect. GMP Ltd is an approved applicator for alternative brands that can be more cost efficient, but with equal quality. Colortrend are the leading provider of Premium Paint in Ireland. The company has looked several times at getting into the UK market, but does not want to compete against the traditional paint brands dominating the UK market, as the Colortrend product is far superior and can provide the retailer with a much better margin. The Colortrend brand requires the retailer to understand how a superior product is much better for the end user, therefore provides a much greater finish and coverage per litre. Colortrend instructed Crannull to locate, identify and qualify opportunities with independent paint retailers across 2 regions in the North of England over a 3-month period. Meetings would be set up over a 3-day period at the end of each month for representatives from Colortrend in Ireland to attend and meet with the business owners to see if they were the right type of organisations to sell the Colortrend brand.
