Crannull Consulting Ltd (“Crannull”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a specialist UK lead generation firm that provides sales leads for companies in construction and the built environment. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal data, and your rights in relation to that data. It applies to personal data we process as a data controller, including data about visitors to our website, our clients and their representatives, and the business contacts we engage with when generating sales leads on behalf of our clients. We process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
1. Who we are
Crannull Consulting Ltd is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are a company registered in England & Wales under company number 7339027.
- Email: sales@crannull.co.uk
- Telephone: 01582 256 010
2. The information we collect
Most of the personal data we process is business contact information. Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Business contact details – name, job title, employer, business email address, business telephone number and business address.
- Enquiry and communication data – the content of, and records relating to, calls, emails, meetings and messages exchanged with you.
- Client and project data – information you provide about your business, target market, projects and requirements when you engage our services.
- Website and technical data – IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed and other analytics data collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
We do not seek to collect special category data (such as health, racial or ethnic origin, or political opinions) in the ordinary course of our business.
3. How we collect your information
We collect personal data:
- directly from you when you contact us, enquire about our services or become a client;
- from our clients, who provide contact data so that we can generate opportunities on their behalf;
- from publicly available and legitimate business sources, such as company websites, professional networking sites, trade directories and our own industry database; and
- automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use our website.
4. How and why we use your information
We use personal data to provide our lead generation, appointment setting and telemarketing services, to manage our relationship with clients, to respond to enquiries, to improve our website and services, and to meet our legal obligations.
The lawful bases on which we rely are:
- Legitimate interests – to carry out business-to-business outreach, generate sales opportunities for our clients, and run and grow our business, where these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.
- Contract – where processing is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you or your organisation.
- Consent – where you have given consent, for example to certain marketing communications or non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation – where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory requirement.
5. Telephone and electronic marketing
A core part of our service is contacting business decision makers by telephone on behalf of our clients. We carry out this activity in line with PECR. We screen against the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CTPS) where applicable, and we will stop contacting you on request. If you do not wish to be contacted, please email sales@crannull.co.uk.
6. Who we share your information with
We may share personal data with:
- our clients, where we have generated an opportunity, meeting or introduction on their behalf;
- trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, such as IT, hosting, CRM and communications providers, under appropriate contractual safeguards; and
- regulators, law enforcement or other third parties where we are required to do so by law.
We do not sell your personal data.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including to meet our legal, accounting and reporting obligations. Where data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymise it. Business contact data held in our database is reviewed periodically to ensure it remains accurate and relevant.
8. Keeping your information secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. Access to personal data is limited to those who need it to carry out their role.
9. International transfers
We primarily process personal data within the UK. Where any data is transferred outside the UK, for example by a service provider, we ensure an appropriate safeguard is in place, such as an adequacy decision or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
10. Your rights
Under data protection law, you have rights including the right to:
- request access to your personal data;
- request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data in certain circumstances;
- object to, or request restriction of, our processing;
- request the transfer of your data (data portability); and
- withdraw consent where we rely on it.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at sales@crannull.co.uk. We will respond within the time limits set by law.
11. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. For details of the cookies we use and how to manage them, please see our Cookie Policy.
